Dr. Kat Scardino is a registered Psychological Assistant under the supervision of Dr. Carrie Hastings. She specializes in working with teens, adults, and athletes experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, substance abuse, and learning difficulties, and helps them develop a competitive advantage through mental skills training.
Kat’s 15 years of personal and professional experience as a competitive basketball and soccer athlete in Southern California across diverse levels of competition has allowed her to truly understand the various mental and emotional needs of athletes. As a sport psychologist, Kat is focused on working with athletes at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels in a variety of sports. Her passion and love for sport continues to influence her work as helps athletes reach their full potential.
Kat earned her master’s degree in counseling and sport psychology from Boston University and her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at California Southern University. She is also a certified Mental Performance Consultant with the Association of Applied Sport Psychology.
