Originally from Chicago, IL, Cristian has a diverse background having completed his Masters at Boston University in Mental Health Counseling and Sport Psychology. Cristian’s experience includes three seasons in professional baseball with the New York Mets’ and their minor league affiliates, working with Division III athletes, as well as working with adaptive communities and para-sports. Prior to baseball, Cristian worked as a mental health clinician servicing underserved youth in the Boston area. In his work, Cristian focuses on enhancing and expanding athlete’s self-awareness through the use of motivational interviewing, CBT, and encouraging a consistent reflective practice to increase self-sufficiency and autonomy to promote their growth. Cristian strives to practice what he preaches and is an active reader and meditator.
